Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 1 September 2026
These Terms & Conditions govern all bookings and participation in activities provided by Aurora Husky AS. By booking a tour with us — online, by email, or by phone — you agree to the terms below.
1. About These Terms & Who We Are
The services described on aurorahusky.com are provided by Aurora Husky AS, org. no. 934 782 143, Fjellvåkveien 7, 9325 Bardufoss, Norway. Our tours run from Camp Aspemo outside Tromsø. Questions about a booking or these terms? Contact us at booking@aurorahusky.com or +47 918 86 276.
2. Booking & Payment
Bookings require full payment at the time of reservation. Online bookings are made through our secure booking partner (Visit Group / Citybreak), where payment is completed with major credit and debit cards. Your booking is confirmed when you receive a booking confirmation by email. Please check that the date, time, and number of participants are correct and contact us immediately if anything is wrong.
3. Prices & What's Included
All prices are stated in NOK (Norwegian kroner) and include VAT. The price shown at the time of booking applies. What is included is stated in each tour description — typically return transfer from Tromsø, the guided activity, rental of thermal clothing and boots, and a warm drink and snack at camp.
4. Cancellations & Refunds
Cancellations made 14 days or more before the departure date receive a 100% refund. Cancellations made between 7 and 13 days before departure receive a 50% refund. Cancellations within 7 days of departure are non-refundable, and failure to show up at the meeting point is treated as a late cancellation. To cancel, email booking@aurorahusky.com with your booking reference. Refunds are made to the original payment method, normally within 14 days.
5. Changes & Cancellations by Us
Arctic weather is unpredictable. For your safety we may adjust routes, departure times, or the content of a tour on short notice based on weather, snow, and wind conditions. If we have to cancel a tour, you choose between a new date (subject to availability) or a full refund of the tour price. We are not responsible for other costs you may have incurred, such as flights or accommodation, so we recommend travel insurance that covers cancelled activities.
6. Health & Physical Requirements
Dog sledding involves active participation, and guests must be in reasonable physical condition. Please tell us about any medical conditions, injuries, or dietary restrictions when you book, so we can plan accordingly. For safety reasons, pregnant guests cannot take part in dog sledding. Children are welcome on our family-friendly tours when accompanied by an adult — contact us if you are unsure what suits your group.
7. Your Responsibilities on Tour
Every tour starts with a thorough safety briefing. You must attend the briefing, follow the guides' instructions on the trail, and treat the dogs with care and respect. Please arrive at the meeting point on time — tours depart on schedule and late arrival may mean losing your place without refund. We may refuse participation, without refund, to guests who are intoxicated or whose behaviour puts themselves, other guests, our team, or the dogs at risk.
8. Liability & Insurance
All outdoor activities in the Arctic involve inherent risks. We maintain strict safety protocols: trained guides with first aid competence, well-prepared trails, quality equipment, and emergency procedures on every tour. Aurora Husky AS is not liable for accidents resulting from guests ignoring safety instructions. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Norwegian law. We strongly advise all guests to carry personal travel and health insurance.
9. Force Majeure
Neither party is responsible for failure to fulfil obligations caused by events outside reasonable control, such as extreme weather, natural events, power or network outages, or orders from public authorities. If such an event prevents a tour, we offer rebooking or a refund of the tour price as described in section 5.
10. Complaints & Governing Law
If something is not as it should be, tell your guide right away so we can fix it on the spot, or contact us at booking@aurorahusky.com as soon as possible after the tour. These terms are governed by Norwegian law. As a consumer you also have rights under mandatory Norwegian consumer legislation, and disputes may be brought before the Norwegian Consumer Authority (Forbrukertilsynet) or the ordinary courts.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms when our services change. The version published at the time of your booking applies to that booking. The current version, with its revision date, is always available on this page.
