Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1 September 2026
Aurora Husky respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you visit aurorahusky.com, make an inquiry, or book a tour — and how we use, share, and protect it. We only collect what we need to give you a great Arctic experience, and we never sell your data.
1. Who We Are (Data Controller)
Aurora Husky AS (org. no. 934 782 143), Fjellvåkveien 7, 9325 Bardufoss, Norway, operates dog sledding experiences from Camp Aspemo outside Tromsø and runs the website aurorahusky.com. Aurora Husky AS is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. Questions about this policy or your data? Contact us at booking@aurorahusky.com or +47 918 86 276.
2. What Information We Collect
Inquiry and booking form: first name, last name, email address, phone number (optional), group size, which tour you are interested in, and your message. Online booking: when you book through our booking calendar, your chosen date, time slot, and number of participants are processed by our booking provider. Payment details are entered directly in the provider's secure checkout and never touch our website. Email: if you email us, we receive your address and the content of your message. Analytics (only with your consent): which pages you visit, how you found us, your device and browser type, and approximate location. This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally. Server logs: our hosting provider automatically logs IP addresses and timestamps for security and operations.
3. How and Why We Use Your Data
To answer your inquiries and arrange your booking — necessary to enter into and fulfil our agreement with you (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)). To improve our website and marketing through anonymised visitor statistics — based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time. To keep the website secure and operational — based on our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)). To keep records of completed purchases — required by Norwegian bookkeeping law (Art. 6(1)(c)).
4. AI-Assisted Email Replies
To answer you faster, emails sent to Aurora Husky may be read and answered with the help of an AI email assistant provided by Simplera AS, working under our supervision. The content of your email is processed solely to draft or send a reply to you — it is not used to train AI models and is not shared for any other purpose. If you would prefer that a person handles your email personally, just say so in your message and a member of our team will take over.
5. Cookies and Consent
When you first visit our site, a banner lets you accept or decline analytics cookies. Your choice is stored in your browser. Necessary cookies and storage: your cookie choice, and a session cookie from our booking provider when you use the booking calendar. These are required for the site and booking to work. Analytics cookies (Google Analytics: _ga and _ga_*, stored up to 2 years): set only if you click Accept. They help us understand how the site is used. If you decline, no analytics scripts are loaded at all. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the "Manage cookie settings" button at the bottom of this page.
6. Who We Share Data With
We share personal data only with service providers (data processors) that help us run the website and deliver your tour: • Visit Group AB / Citybreak (Sweden) — online booking and payment processing. • Google Ireland Ltd — website analytics (only with your consent). • Resend — delivery of contact form emails to our inbox. • Vercel — website hosting. • Sanity — content management for the website (no visitor data). • Simplera AS (Norway) — AI-assisted replies to incoming email, as described above. Each provider processes data only on our instructions under a data processing agreement. We never sell your personal data.
7. Transfers Outside the EEA
Some of our providers (such as Google, Vercel, Resend, and AI subprocessors used by Simplera AS) may process data on servers in the United States. Where that happens, the transfer is safeguarded by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
8. How Long We Keep Your Data
Inquiries and email correspondence: up to 2 years after our last contact, so we can help you with follow-up questions. Booking and purchase records: 5 years, as required by Norwegian bookkeeping law. Analytics data: up to 26 months, in aggregated form. Your cookie choice: stored in your browser until you clear it or change it.
9. Your Rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to our processing, and to receive your data in a portable format. Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting earlier processing. To exercise any of these rights, email us at booking@aurorahusky.com — we respond within 30 days. If you believe we handle your data unlawfully, you can complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet, www.datatilsynet.no).
10. Changes to This Policy
We update this policy when our website or services change. The current version is always available on this page, with the date of the latest revision at the top.
